Texas Forestry Museum - Lufkin, TX

The steam engine was the heart of the sawmill. This 20-ton steam engine was made by Houston, Stanwood and Gamble Co. , Cincinnati, Ohio in 1900. It was originally used in the Nona-Fletcher Lumber Co. This tower was built in 1936 for the Texas Forest Service and was moved to the museum in 1974 from Conroe, TX. What year did the Texas Forestry Museum open? This exhibit .
